Design resources or tools that facilitate access to information.
In LIS 702, we were tasked with creating a reference list for a specified group of our choice. This reference list was to be delivered via website, so it could be accessible to this group without barriers. I chose medical students, and I collected an index of reference books, general books, databases, and web resources spanning a large range of topics. This project is a direct culmination of outcome 3a. I designed a resource that facilitates further learning and access to vital and diverse information. It was a fun exploration of how I could complete such an important learning objective completely free, as I used Google Sites. I learned quite a bit about access and curation in this assignment, something that is vital to any librarian in a patron facing position. These skills have already been used in my professional career as I continue to plan a resource page for teens at my current library. Please see the website attached below!
